The 15th China International Aerospace Exposition (hereinafter referred to as "China Airshow") was held in Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province, from November 12th to 17th, 2024, jointly organized by the People's Liberation Army Air Force and the Guangdong Provincial Government, with the Zhuhai Municipal Government serving as the host. It attracted global attention.
This year's airshow once again broke through in scale, expanding from the previous 100,000 square meters to 450,000 square meters, utilizing a total of 13 exhibition halls. Notably, for the first time, a UAV and unmanned vessel demonstration area was established, covering an area of 330,000 square meters. The airshow not only showcased the mainstream technological level of the world's aerospace industry but also became an important window for China to display its aerospace achievements and defense technological strength to the world.
During this event, the China North Industries Group (CNIGC) showcased a number of new weapons and equipment, bringing along cutting-edge systems such as the VT4A main battle tank, AR3 multiple rocket launcher, and Sky Dragon integrated air defense missile system. These equipment not only demonstrated the highest level of China's land force export weapons and equipment but also reflected the latest breakthroughs in the intelligence, informatization, and unmanned aspects of CNIGC's offerings.
Of particular note was the debut of military aluminum cases as an integral part of the equipment displayed by CNIGC, which garnered widespread attention. These military aluminum cases not only possess excellent properties such as high strength, lightweight, and corrosion resistance but also incorporate intelligent elements into their design, enabling rapid deployment and protection of equipment.
The reason why military aluminum cases have attracted so much attention is that they play a crucial role in modern warfare. On the battlefield, military equipment needs to be rapidly transferred and deployed, and military aluminum cases, with their sturdy and durable, lightweight, and easy-to-carry characteristics, have become the ideal choice for protecting precision military equipment. These aluminum cases are typically made of high-strength aluminum alloy materials and undergo special processing to provide excellent compression and impact resistance, protecting equipment from damage in harsh battlefield environments.
In addition, the design of military aluminum cases fully considers intelligent needs. Some high-end military aluminum cases are equipped with intelligent control systems that can monitor environmental parameters such as temperature and humidity inside the case in real-time, ensuring that the equipment is in optimal condition. At the same time, these aluminum cases also have rapid opening and locking functions, facilitating soldiers to quickly access equipment in emergency situations.
At the airshow, visitors could see up close the outstanding performance of these aluminum cases in protecting precision military equipment. Through displays and interactive experiences, visitors could gain insights into the advanced technologies of military aluminum cases in material selection, structural design, and intelligent applications, further understanding China's remarkable achievements in materials science and intelligent technology within the defense science and technology industry.
Apart from CNIGC's display, this year's airshow also attracted over 890 enterprises from 47 countries and regions, including international renowned aerospace companies such as Boeing from the United States and Airbus from Europe. These companies brought numerous "high-end, precision, and cutting-edge" exhibits, comprehensively showcasing innovations in the aerospace and defense fields. In terms of flight performances, both Chinese and foreign aircraft presented a visual feast for the audience.
Furthermore, this year's airshow also hosted a series of high-level thematic conferences and forums and "Airshow+" events, delving into frontier topics such as low-altitude economy and commercial aerospace, providing a professional platform for industry exchanges and cooperation.
This airshow not only showcased the brilliant achievements of China's aerospace industry but also ignited the passion of the people, filling us with expectations for the future of our country. I believe that in the future, the Zhuhai Airshow will continue to play an important role in promoting the vigorous development of the global aerospace industry.
